I Don't Know What I'd Write - Charlottetown

The pace on the island is just different, maybe it has something to do with living on an island, or maybe it’s because I’m feeling like I’m on vacation but there’s just no rush to do anything…at least that’s the way I feel (for now.)

I packed up leisurely, rode into Charlottetown, peeled the gear and did a little walking tour of the town before I met Liz at Peak’s Quay for lunch.
There seemed to be music happening on every street corner.

I loved this giant chalk board, "Before I die..." It's part of an inspirational global art project inviting people to reflect on their lives. Check it out at @BeforeIDiePEI. My favorite bucket list item other than "Watch my grandchildren grow up" was, "Convert Adam to a Leafs fan." That one was just too funny. (I don't know what I'd write.)
I’ve moved to the other side of the island now. Kilometers on two wheels 98, on two feet 14.

  1. Nice photos! I like the sculpture of the two men talking around a barrel.

I like that pace. I didn't realize the island was that big. 98 km...

    1. Richard it isn't 98 km wide but by the time I rode north then East from Charlottetown it was 98k to get to my destination. But the Island is larger than you'd think. I understand to tour every scenic route (Which are mostly along the coast) would take about 5 days.)

  2. Vacation is about meandering and leisure, we hurry enough the rest of the year that we need to slow down at some point! Enjoy!

  3. Before I die... an easy and a difficult question at the same time. I'd say say make the best out of life ;-)

    1. And sometimes you just need time on two feet.

    1. Thanks Canajun ... and the snow was actually gone. I hear it was May before it completely melted this year.
