Touring on a VStar 650 Custom: “I haven't a clue as to how my story will end. But that's all right. When you set out on a journey and night covers the road, you don't conclude the road has vanished. And how else could we discover the stars?" (unknown)

Home Again Kathleen .... (or whoever)
I'm home and the weather has turned to wet and cold and dreary ... good excuse to fancy up the final holiday post and edit the video," Tourist in New York ".
900 photos and 2.5 gig of video, no wonder this little job took all day. A Tourist back from New York... What next?
Wow, what a stunning recap of your trip. I love, love, love the way you have your photos arranged in the post. You must be using a special program. It is awesome.
The video was really neat too since it gives as sense of the hustle and bustle and sounds of the city. The guy picture of the guy smiling with no shirt on through his window was funny.
Are you glad to be home even if it is cold and wet?
Trobairitz - Thanks, I am using a digital scrap booking program (Creative Memories) for the final NY posts. When I have time I like to fancy up the memories this way.
Richard, SoHo was fairly calm, the Village was delightful and the Park was full of kids and their Nannys but uptown on 5th Ave and on Times Square was crazy ... I think most of the people were tourists. This time I really enjoyed being able to explore the neighbourhoods.

ReplyDeleteI loved your video, very creative with the 2 layers. I liked those city sounds too, much busier than up here.
I also liked how you posted your photos with your special program.
there is always the anticipation of going away, but it's also nice to be back

Riding the Wet Coast
Thanks Bob ... I felt the layer over added the 'electric' feeling to it all ... But, you are so right, there is no place like home.
DeleteReally nice set of photos. I haven't looked at the video yet but your pictures show NYC as calm.
ReplyDeleteJust watched the video and that really shows the crowds and activity of NYC. Much more like what I remembered.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting..
