The final chapter in the Eastside story began with meeting Canjun and Bobskoot in Perth, one of the great places in my 'hood' to ride to.
After a walk in the park Canajun rode with us as far as Westport where we said our goodbyes. Boobskoot (I mean Bobskoot) and I headed south, Canajun headed north.
Monday, Bob wanted to ride in 'The County' and since it's another favorite ride we were off. We dutifully stayed in line ...
And patiently waited ...
And waited ...
And were finally rewarded with front row seats ... to beautiful vistas and a lovely ride.
Afterward, Bobskoot joined our little band at the Creekside ... and now my Eastside story ends.
I watched Bob pack ... we said our good-byes ...
And after a few minor adjustments ... he was gone. Travel safe friend!
It is nice that you got to meet up with Canajun and the three of you could ride together a bit.
ReplyDeleteSo was the misspelling of Bob's name under the horse statue picture a Freudian slip? Is there something we don't know. Boobskoot - who knew. I wouldn't have pointed it out except I found it too funny.
Too funny - Well let's see, was he being a boob or was he scoping out boob. I have to say I did manage to scold him (and David) once or twice for being boobs ... but I think I overheard a conversation about a cute little Montreal waitress in short shorts and cowboy boots ... hum? In all honesty, Bob is a very generous person. At every turn he would be giving away something else to someone else in passing. I'm quite certain by the time he returns home the bike will be completely empty ... if he hasn't given the bike away by then too!
DeleteBob is very generous and a one of a kind. But I still think you just gave him a new nickname. :-)
DeleteThanks for sharing your adventures with us so we could travel along in spirit.
Yes, one of a kind...I still think it would be a great idea to plan a "meet in the middle campaign."
DeleteIt was great to follow you around and read everybody's point of view on the journey. I wish I could have been there...
ReplyDeleteSonja thanks ... definitely different view points - I wouldn't have even noticed the waitress if I'd been there :o)
DeleteYou weren't here this year but if you ever choose to take an east coast journey, maybe we could convince the gang to do it again!
So, does it get much more awesome than combining friends, motorcycles and boats? Because I'm having a hard time thinking of something better... :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a great couple of days to end a great month and we barely got wet! (Can't say the same for poor Canajun on his ride home.)
DeleteIt was fun following your 2013 adventure. And looking forward to the new slideshow. Hope you get some nice weather for the rest of your summer. Thank you for posting...
ReplyDeleteThanks Richard ... I will put a new slide show on the sidebar once I get over the let down of another trip ending. It felt very strange today not to gear up and ride off down the highway somewhere.
ReplyDeleteAnother adventure is always a cure for the last one. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and letting us enjoy the moments through you.
BeemerGirl - sorry I missed meeting you this time out, but I think you are right, another adventure might be the cure.
DeleteWow, he took off in a hurry! Didn't know Beemers could move like that...
ReplyDeleteRun Bob, Run! I guess they can move when you want them too.
DeleteKaren:
ReplyDeletethe saddest point of my trip was riding away yesterday morning. No more tour guide to follow and having to fend for myself but this year there will be so many great memories to look back upon
I am so lucky to have a friend like you
b00b
Riding the Wet Coast
Lots of memories Bob ... enjoy your time alone (think positive!)
DeleteThanks for the image b00b - now I know which boob it was meant to be:0)
Karen, no wonder he left in a hurry... you made him walk! He left my place in a hurry too. Same reason.
ReplyDeleteThose crocs weren't meant for walking ... and that's not what they'll do ... one of these days these crocs will ...
