Something told the wild geese
It was time to go;
Though the fields lay golden
Something whispered, - 'snow'...

Not yet, but soon. Tonight the world was the color of calm. I'm glad I stopped to hear the whispers.
Beautiful colors in your photos.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look anything like snow...
Richard, there's no snow on the ground ... but it is in the air.
ReplyDeleteThe light and colours had been even more spectacular minutes earlier, I hadn't stopped, then decided I should and turned around and drove back to the scene ... I almost missed, moments later it was gone totally. I need to learn to stop when I see something.
Thanks for stopping and turning around to catch this brilliant light.
ReplyDeleteSonja too often I am so caught up in where I'm going I don't take time to see where I am ... I have to remind myself to do it more often.
DeleteI'm very glad that you stopped as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder to stop and see. Those of us that have experienced that light and the season know exactly "what was there".
Thanks Coop
DeleteNo snow, but those sure look like snow clouds! Loved your photos - these are the kind of landscapes I love to shoot. I especially liked the last one, with the sun flare..
ReplyDeleteThey were snow clouds for sure ...
