Yahoo, Another Puddle!

The ice on the lake is slowly darkening as winter loses its grip in a failing battle against the long awaited spring. The bravest, first frogs have emerged from their deep hiding spots to bask in the warmth of the sun and serenade the changing seasons.
Has the VStar been brought out to do the same? No, not yet.
Why not? Because the harsh winter necessitated  an over abundant use of salt and sand on the roads and I’m still waiting for Mother Nature to bring on a cosmic, heavy down pouring, street cleaning, torrential rain since there are no street sweepers in the country…
BUT SHE IS TRYING ...
Okay, I could have taken another route ... what was his excuse?

  1. Driving on water... it really looks like you were driving into a lake. I would also have taken a detour just to do it ;-)

  2. Don't think of them as puddles, they're free car washes!

  3. I think those on two wheels like to play in puddles too. Just something we discover as kids and never outgrow.

As long as the puddle doesn't have a current running through it you're probably safe.

  4. Plus it helps was the salt from the bottom of the car though you may need to run through there a few more times.

Some never outgrow playing in puddles.

    1. Exactly, that's why I had to do them again today - just for the heck of it.

that puddle looked deep to me. I think I would have turned around but then again, I don't have an SUV and my car is lower. What would have happened if your engine got too much water and conked out ?

    You are too brave . . .

    1. Ah, it was no problem ... did a test swim the day before.

  6. Karen what a hoot! Did you go faster the second time?

    1. David didn't go faster, the second puddle was just that much deeper. Nice spray eh?

  7. Karen has it thawed sufficiently for you to get out on your bike yet?

    1. Dar it has thawed but it's still a chilly 8 to 10 with cold rain predicted all week. Looks like May for me ... I wonder if she will remember me. I have a present for her so I'm sure she will forgive.

  8. The snow has finally gone, but just when I was thinking maybe it is time the weather guys say it's gonna rain all week long.

  9. Yahoo! I love water puddles too. I've rusted out a starter on one vehicle, created a bow wave OVER a Jeep Wrangler, and submerged another jeep in a river. Thanks for filming for us to enjoy.
