Back at the campsite (after a stop a Cows for a scoop of Canada's best ice cream, or so the sign says) I met my new camping neighbour, Margaret and her family from PEI. Margaret had an air mattress pump and inflated Agnes' replacement, saving me from having to huff and puff.
There was time and sunset today for a walk on the beach .... barnacle bill ....
Ron has arrived on the Island after his trip to the Rock. Tomorrow looks sunny and we plan to ride to North Rustico.
Karen:
ReplyDeletewatch out for funnel clouds. Better to stay put and wait for the sunshine. Lucky you bumped into Margaret. She must have know you were out of puffing power

So what replaced the Big Agnes?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to more PEI photos. One of those places I've always wanted to visit.
Richard, Big Agnes has been replaced by a Thermarest Neoair. I had no choice of size - large or nothing. Big blue is 8" longer than Agnes and a half inch thicker (bonus.) Fits into almost the same size space as Agnes.
DeleteYou would enjoy PEI - if you ever plan to get this way let me know.
Beautiful first pic. I love the drama of the clouds.
ReplyDeleteThanks Trobairitz ... the weather has been a bit unpredictable so far ... just as the weather network.
DeleteBob, I rejoiced the minute Margaret pulled out her electric huffer and puffer, I only wish she could follow me the rest of the summer.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you're having fun.
ReplyDeleteAren't all those mattresses self-inflating now?
Beautiful images. Love the area. Espeically love the detail of the seashells. I hope I make it to PEI soon and can enjoy the same as you continue to display.
