A day at the beach can do a body good ... so can walking over 6 miles and a swim in a delightful salt water pool at the end of it all.
Just a day at the beach.
The weather is looking less than stellar to the south and to the west for now 'til Friday ... can't afford to wait any longer, it's time to head north. It is what it is.
Lovely colourful pictures! Your burger looks fab! Is that the stem of a wine glass I see??
ReplyDeleteHey Fork ... the colour was amazing, probably because of the overcast day. Cool breeze and cooler glass of wine to go with it. Life is good even when the weather is unsettled.
ReplyDeleteNice photos and I like the mural. Pretty impressive. Where is this?
ReplyDeleteRichard it was Virginia Beach, Virginia. I had no idea that it was home to such a large US military presence.
DeleteKaren:
ReplyDeleteso colourful, the umbrellas and the half fish. I love hamburgers by the beach
can't walk 6 miles but I could walk on the beach.
Your weather looks good right now. Perhaps the forecast is wrong, that's what I'm hoping

Riding the Wet Coast
Bob it was overcast with a breeze (and good surf) - perfect for walking the beach and area. I loved that they had showers for your feet every so often.
DeletePS Bob - the concrete boardwalk (original board, boardwalk burned) is 3 miles long ... crap, I thought it was only 2 ... add an additional 2 miles to yesterdays walk. I walked the entire board walk from start to finish and back, then down a few streets and 2 miles back to the campground. No wonder I needed a swim when I got back.
DeleteLooks like a great beach to visit. Where?
ReplyDeleteCanajun it was a beautiful beach, very clean and though there were lots of people, there was more than ample space for everyone.
DeleteI love all the color in these photos. Those colorful fish coming out of the walkway are pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteIt was the colour that struck me most too - everywhere you looked, there was the colour of summer.
DeleteA day at the beach, just what I needed.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen,
d.
Welcome David ... it was the least I could do.
