... Home Safe and Sound.

Mission accomplished and now the Star and the Deer are back together again. I think she's happy to be home safe and sound. I'm happy but at the same time I still totally miss life on the road (or maybe I just like living in an alternate dimension where I am able to pretend I don't have a million mundane chores to do.)
A look around tells me everything here is dying of thirst; not a drop of rain since I left and long before. 7 o'clock and still nearly 30 degrees with a forecast for more of the same.
And I think she'll forgive me ... in a couple of days.

    1. The 'stink eye' was truly three floors up from the greeting I got when I came in the door ... but she's all over it now and won't leave me alone.

  3. Welcome home......you still have the rest of the summer to look forward to taking day trips! And, you are not likely to have bears to worry about!

    1. Hopefully no bears. I quite enjoyed the air con in the SUV today when it hit 37. I will do day trips when we get back to seasonal and putting on my 'snowsuit' doesn't seem like such a crazy idea.

  4. With no rain there is little use for a riding mower. It must be time for another road trip!

    1. You're right Richard, that lawn mower hasn't seen any action in three weeks. Walking on the grass today felt like walking through a bowl of shredded wheat without milk ... hummm where could I go where the grass is green and better still there are no chores.
