Time For The Walking Shoes To Earn Their Passage

Breakfast was eaten in the campground pavilion. Out of the rain I pondered what to do on my 'non riding' day of rest. You already know the radar image wasn't good, but the storm must have moved south. The sky didn't clear, but the rain stopped. The bay was calm; the only ripples, caused by the tide, were gently drawing the water back out to the straight.
I decided it was time to make my walking shoes earn their passage.

And now I'm sitting in front of a most beautiful campfire, thanks to a neighbouring camper, on a chair (having much less RV envy now) with 33,471 steps (25.5 km). Now that's  what I call a day of rest.

Scenes from the beach.

  1. Nice! Lovely photos! And that's some day of rest, you'll need to rest to recover from it!

  3. A 25+km walk. That's my kind of resting, Karen. However, I don't seem to be able to convince my better half of this concept.

  4. 25.5K - a half marathon, but at a more leisurely pace. Probably not what I'd consider to be a day of rest, but you did get some nice pics.

    1. Thanks Richard, and I agree. Exploring by foot is the best way to see a place.
