Autumn in 'The County'

The temperature was hovering just above the zero mark and the sky was ominous this morning so the call was to go to Prince Edward County by car.
The colours ranged from spectacular to mundane.
Autumn in 'The County' was unpredictable ... the beauty was in the surprise of what lay around the next bend.
Despite the chill and the dampness it was a beautiful day ...
to catch some reflections.
Happy Thanksgiving.

  1. Gorgeous day out. I love reflections on the water. Especially of the boats and colors. :)

  2. Nice boat pictures. I also like the reflections. Do people keep the in the water through the winter? Our leaves are now long gone but since the temperatures are still positive, I still have the bike out...

    1. Our leaves are just coming to their peak. The boats will all be taken out of the water, these are just folks who don't want to give up on the summer just yet (somewhat like those of us who still have our bikes out in hopes of an 'Indian Summer.'

    2. I think that I'm in that category. Rode my bike in today as the temperatures were still positive. Tomorrow, it's supposed to clear up and get to -8C tomorrow. If the roads are dry ...

  3. Here's hoping it's clear, dry and above freezing for you tomorrow. I'm thinking it's about time to give up and put the Star away for the winter.

  4. Karen:

Nice colours and the light looks cold. Is that the ferry I was reading about?

I thought you had a heated vest ? Not many more riding days left

    1. Bob, tt was chilly. No heated vest, just heated grips. This is the Genora Ferry to Prince Edward County ... what one have you been reading about?

  5. Looks like a 'bundle up in a snuggly sweater' kind of day.

Thanks for sharing the pretty pictures.

    1. Trobairitz - you should have seen the folks who came in by boat - talk about a bundle up in a snuggly sweater (and mitts, and hats and coats) kind of day!
