New York City – Day 2
More walking, more looking … more eating.
Grace Church on Broadway.
Flowers outside a shop in Greenwich Village.
Inside Mario Batali's Eatily (where I didn't eat!).
Chicken tikki from Biryani Food Truck (which I did eat!)
Art, atop the Highline Walkway...

Nice pictures. The high line looks like an interesting park. Is it warm? We considered going to NYC but decided to head south instead...
ReplyDeleteThanks Richard, it's a vibrant city for sure ... as far as warm ... this week, not so much. The high today was 50 F, in the sun, walking at a good clip it was perfect but there was so much of the time without sun and with a cool breeze that it felt less than ideal. Made me want to go shopping for an extra sweater.
ReplyDeleteYep, a lot of walking can be done in New York, or make that Manhattan. There is a never ending change in scenery.
ReplyDeleteYep! Sonja, you're right - don't come without your walkin' boots. Will be heading across the bridge to Brooklyn tomorrow (great pizza there) and to the Bronx on Tuesday. There's a lot more to NewYork than Manhattan, but Manhattan has so many exciting places to explore that it's hard to do it all in a couple of days.
ReplyDeleteYou are getting a lot of walking in. It looks like the weather is cooperating which is nice. You lucked out with sun last year too didn't you?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pictures. Loving the architecture and the flowers too.
The weather has cooperated so far ... It's an urban jungle, just perfect for hiking. The flowers are my favorite as well Brandy.

ReplyDeleteKeep on having fun. I have never been there so take more photos, thank you
I don't think I could do 20 kms so I'll have to rely on you

Bob - I take too many photos, so I collaged a few to keep from boring everyone with my holiday pics for day 3. I have to say, I love walking, but I've blown out a pair of socks a day in the process.
DeleteI have never been to New York and it is on my bucket list of places to see. I love old architecture and colourful places. This looks like it is a great place to visit.
ReplyDeleteDar, it is one of the most colourful places I've ever been to. The history, the sights, the sounds, the smells ...some good, some not so! I keep coming back. I think I will never tire of exploring the unique neighborhoods.
