New York City – Day 3
Still walking, still eating … still drinking in the sights and sounds and smells of New York City.
The Court House
That's amore
(Lovers secure a lock to the Brooklyn Bridge as a symbol of their amore then throw the key into the water below ...)
Empire State from under the Brooklyn Bridge - Brooklyn side
A Brooklyn Coffee Break
Back to Gremaldi's for Pizza
Manhattan (and the Brooklyn Bridge) from the Manhattan Bridge
More of Manhattan from the Manhattan Bridge
So ... I bought new shoes!
Two bridges, twenty more kilometers (on foot) and another pair of socks bites the dust. Just another day in the life of a New York Tourist.
So....did you acquire the right shoes?? ;)
ReplyDeleteCoop - not only got the right shoe, but the left one as well ... (couldn't resist!)
DeleteFor some reason, in all my US travels, New York is the one major city I have never been to but your photos are pushing it closer to the top of the bucket list. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt is quite a city ... I'm glad I've taken time to explore some of the less travelled neighborhoods.
DeleteSo much fun. You sure are getting your exercise, but that is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteThat pizza looks so good, now I'm hungry.
Good fun, good pizza, good walking - All Good!
DeleteBeautiful photos! I notice that some of the locks are combination locks i.e. no keys to throw into the river. Those are from those who aren't quite sure?
ReplyDeleteI hear that Gremaldi's is the place to go with their 900°F pizza oven...
Richard, there were many proclamations of love on the bridge...I guess they went with the lock at hand.
DeleteGremaldi's - it was my second time and not disappointed.
