From the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Shenandoah River ... West Virginia, good-bye. There was heavy fog for a bit and a scattering of rain in the mountains but then the country roads took me to my home for the night.
“Almost heaven,
West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains
Blue Ridge Mountains
Shenandoah River -
Life is old there
Older than the trees
Younger than the mountains
Growin' like a breeze”
Nice riding landscapes in Virginia and West Virginia. Hopefully Mother Nature will control herself and not unleash any torrents in that flash flood prone region.
ReplyDeleteKim and I look forward to meeting you, bobskoot and David this coming week.

Mother Nature was kind yesterday and today (and really I didn't encounter any flash flooding so I guess she's been with me every day.)
DeleteLooking forward to meeting with you and Kim as well on part two of this awesome journey.
Just the title of your post made me think of that song. I've been a John Denver fan since I was a kid. But shhhh don't tell anyone, lol.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are riding through some beautiful areas.
There's a reason this area inspired a song ... it's okay, I think everyone was (is) a John Denver fan even if they won't admit it. I started singing the moment I hit the Blue Ridge ...
