It's Labour Day Weekend and the last hours of summer vacation are quickly slipping away. While I still had time I headed to Nepean to visit friends and walked to see the new sight in the neighbourhood ... the long awaited Strandherd-Armstrong bridge.
The entire Capital area is very pedestrian friendly and I found a lovely walking trail under the bridge following the River. Unexpectedly I spotted this fellow just scootin' the trail (toting a bucket for fish.)
It still looks like summer but in my heart I know it's over.
You have been to some really beautiful areas on your vacation. I've enjoyed the pictures you have shared with us.
ReplyDeleteThanks Arizona ... can't wait to see where you (Pigpen/Petunia and Dexter) head to.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bridge! Is it just for foot traffic??
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely little bridge with two lanes for (motor) traffic and two for foot traffic.
DeleteI know all to well about squeezing the last few hours of vacation out and did that today. Tomorrow it's back to work after being off a month., and I do my first test in my motorcycle class after work. I am riding a skills assessment test and went and practiced u-turns today. Ugh the nerves are killing me.
ReplyDeleteNice pics!
Good luck on the test.
DeleteBeautiful bridge. I particularly like the last picture.
ReplyDeleteIt may be the unofficial end of summer but it is nice to know we should have summer weather for a few more weeks.
We've had a couple days of warmer weather with more predicted. Now, if just doesn't rain!
DeleteKaren, I can relate to the melancholy feeling at the end of summer. My favorite time of year is just ahead but I have enough patience to still be looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteCoop I love fall too ... but I also can wait.
