Touring on a VStar 650 Custom: “I haven't a clue as to how my story will end. But that's all right. When you set out on a journey and night covers the road, you don't conclude the road has vanished. And how else could we discover the stars?" (unknown)

Two Days, Two Rides, Two Times Lucky
Westport then Bloomfield. Only 300 kms total but both days were beautiful for riding and both days I beat the thunderstorms home.
No complaints at all! I hear it's been beastly hot in Oregon. Someone asked the other day which I would prefer, the heat or the rain? Can't say either is very enjoyable ... which would you pick?
I"ve heard some people talk about their riding gear and how dry it is. Putting on rain gear usually means I feel like I'm riding in a sauna so I don't. (Since I sprayed my Joe Rocket jacket with left over tent weatherproofing it seems to keep me quite dry too!)
Any ride is better than sitting at home! Glad you missed the weather!
ReplyDeleteThe first day was a little shorter than the second but both days provided the perfect temperature for riding with all the gear.
Delete300 km are great day trips!
ReplyDeleteWith lunch and a little sight seeing thrown in both times ... awesome.
DeleteCan't complain about beautiful riding weather and beating the storms. Glad you got out for some rides.
