One Picture Tells It All ...

If the gang thought I was slow on the VStar they should see me on the Avalanche GT All Terra ... this picture says it all.

Today a friend and I rode our bicycles on a section of the K&P Trail that follows the Napanee river from Yarker to Camden East. For the most it was a straight, level stretch and so the legs didn't do too much complaining. It was a perfect day - cool enough not to work up a sweat and warm enough not to need mittens. We are so lucky to have this kind of biking/hiking/snowmobiling trail available - free for the willing and able!

This Post Was Supposed To Be ...

I had intended to go to the Old Bastard's Rally in Delta on Saturday and this blog post was supposed to be filled with photos of vintage bikes and Old Bastards ... but you can see from the video I didn't go any further than the front porch.

So today I went for a walk to complete my first solo Geocache. Now I don't have a hand held GPS so who else could I turn to but Garmin Dan. Technically, when I took him off the mount he became a hand held unit ... and after we resolved how we would accomplish this and more than a little crawling through the bushes off road, and just before giving up - EUREKA. There it was, just where Dan said it would be.

Then I picked the twigs out of my hair, the burs off my pants and walked home ...quite proud of myself! (Thanks Leslie for the tip, aka the coordinates.)
