Brattleboro, a town filled with art galleries, musicians, food trucks, bistros, breweries and bakeries ... It's a lovely little town. Would I spend a whole day here again - probably not, but I enjoyed my day off.
Touring on a VStar 650 Custom: “I haven't a clue as to how my story will end. But that's all right. When you set out on a journey and night covers the road, you don't conclude the road has vanished. And how else could we discover the stars?" (unknown)

Bistros, Breweries And Bakeries ...
It was still raining by 11. I decided if I was going to have a rain delay it might as well be in a place I've never stopped before and so I spent the day in Brattleboro Vermont. By noon the rain let up enough for some urban hiking.

ReplyDeleteWe've just had 10 days of record heat wave. We wouldn't mind some of your warm, summer rain. I wouldn't mind experiencing some of your relaxing time right now, I have to go back to work tomorrow. A few more days off sounds good about now

Riding the Wet Coast
Bob you can have all the flash floods and washed out roads you like .... I'll freely give them to you!
DeleteIt looks like a quaint little place to spend the day. Sounds like once was enough though. Did you eat a few tasty treats at a bakery or bistro?
ReplyDeleteTrobairitz I stopped at a Thai Food Truck and had a veggie spring roll ... they had fresh veggies rolls that looked to die for as well.
DeleteGreat photos!
ReplyDeleteThe cat looks like mine (Sedgewick) but I guess that's mostly true for all tabbies.
Mr. Puss looked so comfy guarding the front step ... unperturbed by my stopping to take his photo.
DeleteA beautiful area, I'm envious...
ReplyDeleteRichard the East Coast has a character that's hard to describe, old, established, refined (in some cases) are just part of it. I love this coast.
