WELL!!! Never been so why not. I called for advice from two Vintage Road Racing veterans and lined up an expert (former racer and track record holder) guide to meet me when I got there.
The first kiss, the first ride, the first time you see an outlet mall (okay, maybe that one was just me) but there’s nothing like a first time experience to make you feel like a kid again. Riding through the tunnel into the paddock ... definitely a first time feeling.
As promised: no boats, one car and lots and lots and lots of motorcycles.
More to come…..
"... the first time you see an outlet mall..." oh yes, I remember that feeling ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing more about this. And this car looks mighty sexy.
Oh, Sonja so glad I'm not the only one who had that feeling on first sight of an outlet mall (my friend thought I was going to hyperventilate that day!!!)
DeleteWow, that's a red Triumph GT6!
ReplyDeleteI was promised there would be one car ... glad it meets your approval!
DeleteFirst time I saw a woman riding a motorcycle. I was about seven. When she dismounted, she walked in a style I thought was magical. I was hooked then and there.
ReplyDeleteIf you see my blog heading you will see "Yes, Emily girls can ride motorcycles." Emily was a little girl in my kindergarten class who, when she saw my motorcycle, with wide eyes said, "I didn't know girls could ride motorcycles." I make a point of helping little girls (and little boys) understand they can do anything!
DeleteAnd a nice car it is!!
ReplyDeleteInstilling that feeling in kids is a very worthy thing to do, arguably the very best lesson of all.
ReplyDeleteNothing beats feeling like a kid David.
