Just to catch you up to speed … September has zipped by but…
I took a little ride to ‘The County’ via the long way ‘round.
Attended yet another festival (Chili) in the City.
And met BMW Triumphant (only a blogger to blogger meet up could get me, suffering from my ‘man cold,’ out of my cave on such a windy day) for a little 200 km ride through the home place.
IT AIN’T OVER YET!
Its been such a stellar summer! I am detinitely not ready to say goodbye yet.
ReplyDeleteNope, not ready to give up yet either.
DeleteKeep that bike on the road as long as you can!
ReplyDeleteWill do sir!
DeleteNot even close to being over. The weather looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWeather that you could see was great ... what you might not be able to see were the unpredictable gusts of up to 60k per hour. Surprisingly it didn't seem cold.
DeleteGet every riding moment you can.....I say that after having skipped some this summer.
ReplyDeleteHaving recently discovered the "Game of Thrones" HBO series, I say to you: "Winter is Coming". :)
Oh no, you were sucked into the vortex of a series ... never fear, I'm going to ride on. This weekend, our Thanksgiving weekend is looking very, almost summerish, promising.
DeleteGood for you, Karen! Carpe diem. The bike will be back in the shed way too soon. Glad you could meet with Ed. Another B-to-B meeting. We should give out badges ;-)
ReplyDeleteI like the badge idea Sonja ... I'll have to work on that.
DeleteWhy is it I can clearly picture you shouting at the birds like that?
ReplyDeleteI am glad you have had some sunny weather and were able to get out and meet with Mr. BMW himself.
That bench/bridge photo is my favorite.
Ha, ha ... you do know me Trobairitz! (Crazy woman who stand beside road, yelling at birds.) I was glad Ed had the chance to come back this way and take a tour - too bad we picked the windiest day of the fall, but happy that the sun was shining.
DeleteLooks like you had great weather! I love my heated gear for fall rides..
ReplyDeleteThe sun was beautiful, the wind a bit strong and the heated gear kept me perfectly comfortable. Can't imagine life without it!
DeleteSo many roads Ed ... any time.
ReplyDeleteI do think everyone who lives where winter steals away our ability to ride was cheering along with you. We've had an unseasonably warm start to October, which makes my denial syndrome worse, but more believable (at least in my head) I fear the, "Reality Crash" I know is coming will be a bigger surprise than last year........
ReplyDeleteI hope you get many more days in before it really is, "over."
Don
Don, all I can say is it has been a beautiful fall (so uncharacteristic, but I'm not complaining!) I know it's coming ... but did you have to say it out loud?
