Talk about fickle weather ... Mother Nature, can you just make up your mind? Last weekend it was a balmy 19 C, Monday we were in the minuses and under a severe weather watch with snow coming down like crazy and today it was foggy, warm(ish) and ...
there was a Harley in the local Santa Clause Parade. Road conditions: dry but riddled with candy.
On the way home I stopped to catch a glimpse of my other lake. I wonder what it knows?
Well, officially Winter is still several weeks away...
ReplyDeleteRichard, I know it's not officially winter, but this crazy in between stuff ! I could do without!
DeleteThe tradition of Christmas parades two wheeled or otherwise are not something happening in Germany, at least not that I know of. Bus I am looking forward to exploring our Christmas markets.
ReplyDeleteThe lake looks so calm and serene. Is it the quiet before the storm?
Small towns and big cities alike ... They all bring in the season with a parade. (I have a number of decorations that are special to me because they were purchased at German Christmas markets.)
DeleteFickle is right!! We escaped accumulation here but just barely. Yesterday I was out, bright sun and it felt lovely again, definitely could have been a riding afternoon. This morning very thick fog as the result.
ReplyDeleteCoop we got accumulation over the Sunday and Monday - warm lakes, cold air. Then by the weekend it was raining again. We have missed today's ice rain, just rain here. North of us all buses cancelled due to ice.
DeleteFunny how weather is all over the place this year. At least the roads were clear enough for the harley to ride in the parade.
ReplyDeleteGotta love it when Mother Nature cooperates just long enough to capture some motorcycle content no matter how hormonal she has been these days.
DeleteThat looks like a brave Santa; a Harley in the snow!
ReplyDeleteLuckily the roads were bare and dry for the parade, just a little sand and salt to contend with.
DeleteAh yes, the weather. Freezing rain today and a forecast high of 8 tomorrow. I hate this time of year when Ma Nature can't seem to make up her mind from one day to the next.
ReplyDeleteDavid, I was in Merrickville and Smiths Falls on the weekend and heard the forecast. We hit above freezing here and just got the rain.
DeleteWay too cold for me. . .
ReplyDeleteI'm a sissy.
I love that photo of the lake!
I'm with you Sash, too cold and damp for me ... but koodos to him and his holiday spirit!
